Nutrition for children

“We provide children with nutrition from food so that they can grow and develop physically. This also means that we are providing the necessary nutrients for children to develop mentally and intellectually.” – Dr. Maria Montessori.

Happy Adventure Preschool – International Montessori believes that a well-balanced meal is the key to the best development for children.

Research by the US Department of Agriculture and the US Department of Health and Human Services has shown that a healthy meal must include all 5 food groups: Fruits, Grains, Protein, Vegetables, and Dairy, to provide diverse sources of nutrition. Essential nutrients and vitamins play a crucial role in unlocking the potential of the brain’s development. Therefore, every day at “Happy Adventure,” children not only enjoy three satisfying meals a day: breakfast, lunch, and snack but also adhere to the appropriate nutritional chart for each age group.

Based on professional expertise and scientific research on child development, food at Happy Adventure Preschool – International Montessori is always guaranteed by reputable suppliers.

Hot meals are prepared from the on-site kitchen with fresh, delicious ingredients, and the menu is designed to be age-appropriate, ensuring food safety and keeping children interested in their meals. Priority is given to protein, fruits, vegetables, and sugar-free dairy products (such as yogurt, fresh milk, and cheese), which are rich in good fats and nutrients.

Happy Adventure Preschool – International Montessori DOES NOT use packaged or processed foods containing high sugar, which are not good for children’s health.

The chefs and staff at the school are always ready to advise parents on menus to ensure children’s nutrition throughout the day.
